ACTIVE GRANT UPDATES

CURRENT GRANTS AWARDED THROUGH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA & BOARD OF WATER AND SOIL RESOURCES

The following active grants provided fundingthrough the Board of Water and Soil Resources, from the State of Minnesota Legacy Amendment Clean Water Fund, and were used to support: Watershed Based Implementation Funding for the Joint Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan 1 & 2 and, the Lake Traverse Water Quality Improvement Project No. 1 Phase No. 3, Multipurpose Drainage Management Practices for Wilkin County Ditch #Sub-1, Mustinka River Rehabilitation, and Redpath Flood Impoundment..

Table Above: Anticipated Measureable Outcomes of Watershed Based Implementation Funding: Ag Practices that result in 11.6 LBS/YR reduction in phosphorous and 16.3 TONS/YR reduction in total suspended sediment, Non-Structural Management Practices that result in 70 LBS/YR reduction in phosphorous and 715 TONS/YR reduction in total suspended sediment, Retrofits that result in 70 LBS/YR reduction in phosphorous and 370 TONS/YR reduction in total suspended sediment, 2 wells sealed, and further support of the Lake Traverse Water Quality Improvement Project No. 1 and further development of the Restoration of Doran Creek.
